DeKalb County Town of DeKalb May 1857

We the Commissioners of Highway for the said town of DeKalb do hereby order that the said town be divided into road district as follows

Road District No. 1

Commencing on the section line between section 2 & 3 running east to the town line also commencing at the junction between William Hubbard & C. S. Colton and running north to the town line.

Road District No. 2

Commencing between sections 2 & 3 running west to town line.

Road District No. 3

Commencing at the junction between William Hubbard and C. S. Colton running south on the west side of Union Grove to corporation limits.

Road District No. 4

Commencing at F. Love and running north west to the Chicago and Grandetour state road.  Also commencing at the corner near William R. Thompson and running east to the town line.

Road District No. 5

Commencing at the east corner of sections 16 & 9 and running west to the town line.

Road District No. 6

Commencing at the corporation line on section 22 and running west across the lands of J. F. Glidden, Erastus Clark and others to the town line.

Road District No. 7

Commencing at the corporation limits and running south west by Mr. H. Dimmick and others to the town limit.
