Whereas upon the application of L. S. Hoyt, Maltby Hoyt, William Hoyt, Sylvester Taylor, Edmon Badges, Elisha Badger, Franklin Taylor, Robert Linsay, Wm. W. Linsey, Palmer Averil, P. H. Averil, Henry Averil (and others).  Twelve legal voters residing within three miles of the route herein after described a copy of the petition having been duly posted as required by law we the commissioners of highways of said town did on the 9th day of January A. D. 1858 examined the following route to wit commencing at the centre section four and running north to the town line being as mentioned and set forth in said petition and the said commissioners having personally examined said route and having heard such reasons as were offered for and against discontinuing said road and being of the opinion that the discontinuance of said road is necessary and proper and that the public interest will be promoted thereby it is ordered and decided that the route as above described be discontinued.  In witness whereof we the said commissioners have here unto set our hands this 9th day of January A. D. 1858.

Mr. P. L. Fox presented a bill of one hundred dollars in favor of H. H. Rowe as damages allowed on road on motion the bill was rejected.

The following accounts were then allowed.
