At an election held at the Eagle Hotel in the town of DeKalb in the county of DeKalb and State of Illinois on the second day of November in the year 1858 the following named persons received the number of votes annexed to their respective names for the following described offices to wit,

William B. Fondy received one hundred & seventy votes for State Treasurer

James Will received one hundred & eighty two votes for State Treasurer

John Dougherty received seventeen voted for State Treasurer

Augustus C. French received one hundred & seventeen votes for Supt of Public Instr.

Newton Bateman received one hundred & eighty two votes for Supt of Public Instr.

John Reynolds received seventeen votes for Supt of Public Instr.

Thomas Dyer received one hundred and seventeen votes for Member of Congress

John F. Farmworth received one hundred & seventy three votes for Member of Congress

Brehenny F. Blackburn received twenty five voted for Member of Congress

Wm. E. Sheffield received one hundred & seventeen votes for State Senator

Richard F. Adams received one hundred & eighty votes for State Senator

James Risk received seventeen votes for State Senator

E. P. Young received one hundred & fifty one votes for Member of House of Representative

John Hill received one hundred & fifteen votes for Member of House of Representative
