DeKalb May 31st 1859

Auditors met at the Town Clerk’s office Rufus Hopkins presents claim for damages allowed in consequence of laying out a road April 9th 1856 for the sum of one hundred and eighty dollars as allowed by the supervisor J. S. Brown, H. S. Champlain & Henry Madden on the 8th day of September 1856 we the undersigned auditors audit one hundred dollars of the above account which Rufus Hopkins agrees to take in full payment for said damages conditioned the said Hopkins removed his fence by the last of September AD 1859.
