Town Records of DeKalb Ill page 214, 1862

At an election held at the Eagle Hotel in the Town of DeKalb in the County of DeKalb and State of Illinois on the sixteenth day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty two for the election of a Circuit Judge of the 13th Judicial Circuit the following votes were given, viz:

Amos B. Coon received one hundred and thirty four (134) votes for Circuit Judge

Theodore S. Houghtby received seven (7) votes for Circuit Judge.

Estray Notice

Broke into the enclosure of Elisha Badger Jr. on the 15th day of Nov. 1862. One dark chestnut horse colt three years old past with white hind feet nearly to the gambrels white face.  The owner is requested to prove property pay charges or I shall have the same apprised according to statute in such cases made and provided.
