At an election held at the Eagle Hotel in DeKalb in the county of DeKalb and State of Illinois on the fourth day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty two the following named persons received the numbers of votes annexed to their respective names for the following offices to wit;

Alexander Sterne received one hundred and twenty nine (129) votes for State Treasurer

Wm. Butler received one hundred and forty one (141) votes for State Treasurer

John P. Brooks received one hundred and twenty nine (129) votes for Supt of Public Instruction

Newton Bateman received one hundred and forty one (141) votes for Supt of Public Instruction

Neil Donley received one hundred and thirty (130) votes for Representative in Congress

J. F. Farnsworth received one hundred and thirty six (136) votes for Representative in Congress

J. C. Allen received one hundred and thirty (130) votes for Rep in Congress for State at Large

E. C. Ingersell received one hundred and forth (140) votes for Rep. in Cong. For State at Large

Andrew Pingree received one hundred and fifty five (155) votes for State Senator

E. R. Allen received one hundred and fifteen (115) votes for State Senator
