since the adaption of the constitution and that I will not be so engaged or concerned directly or indirectly in or about any such duel during my continuance in office so help me God.

Whereas the undersigned Newell Burr was on the 5th day of January A.D. 1866 duly appointed a Constable for the town of DeKalb in the county of DeKalb and state of Illinois and has accepted of said office and is about to enter upon the performance of the duties thereof.
Now therefore, know all men by these present that we the said Newell Burr as principal and Wm. W. Allen as surety, jointly and severally agree to pay to each and every person who may be entitled thereto all such sums of money as the said constable may become liable to pay on assess of any execution or attachments which shall be delivered to him for collection by virtue of his office.
Witness our hands and seals at DeKalb this 5th day of January A.D. 1866.
