Milan Township Records

April 6, 1858.

The first annual Town Meeting met aggreable to notice at the House of Benjamin Banfield in the town of Milan in the county of DeKalb and the state of Illinois. This 6th day of April A.D. 1858: said meeting was called to order by the Electors present and organized by appointing Lewis, M McEwen Moderator and DeWitt Vanvleit clerk. The oath was administered by the Moderator to the clerk and by the clerk to the moderator !
