Annual [Annual] Town Meeting

South Grove

At the anuel [annual] Town meeting in the town of South Grove in the year 1871 Benjamin Worden and Thomas Renwick having had an equal number of Votes for the Office of highway commissioner the question of which should be entitled to said office. Was on the 5 day of April 1871 duly decided between by lot and it was decided that the said Thomas Renwick should be entitled to said office.

The meeting was called to order by the clerk W. G. Chamberlin

On motion of F. W. Howe N D Fetterly was duly chosen to preside as moderator of said meeting who being first duly sworn by Wm. F. Miller Justice Peace in said town Entered upon the duties of his office. The Polls for the Election of Officers were opened proclamation thereof being first made by the Clerk.

On motion F. W. Howe the Polls were closed for one hour.
