At the annual town meeting in Casler Hall in the Town of South Grove County of DeKalb & state of Illinois, on the fourth (4th) AD 1876 meeting called to order by Clerk. W T Howe chosen Chairman entered upon his duties after being sworn by M D Patten, Clerk.

The polls were then declared open at proclamation being first made by clerk. At the hour of twelve the motion was carried that we adjourn for one hour. At one the poles [sic] was declared open until the hour of two when they were again closed transact the miscellaneous (?).

Motion That we proceed to elect path masters for the several road districts

The following is a statement of the persons elected road masters on the several road districts.

Motion That we raise Two Hundred dollars ($200) to defray the incidental expenses of the town Carried

Motion That we except of M Casler proposition to have the use of his hall at the same terms& considerations as last year.
