Minutes of Annual Town Meeting

Caslers Hall April 2nd 1878

At the annual Town Meeting held in the town of South Grove County of DeKalb and State of Illinois in Caslers Hall on second day of April AD 1878 the meeting was called to order by the Clerk. T W Howe was chosen moderator who after being duly sworn entered upon the duties of his office.

The polls for the election of officers were opened proclamation first being made by the clerk at twelve oclock the polls were closed for one hour the hour of two having arrived the miscellaneous business was disposed of as follows

Motion That we raise Two hundred dollars to defray the incidental expenses of the town Carried

Motion That we pay M Casler 30 dollars for the use of his hall this year and until after Town meeting in 1879 including all elections and elections purposes
