At the annual town meeting held at Casler Hall in the town of South Grove County DeKalb and State of Illinois on April first AD 1879 Egbert J. Eddy was chosen moderator after being duly sworn entered upon the duties of his office.

The polls were then opened proclamation being first made by Clerk at twelve the motion was carried that we adjourn for one hour at one the polls was declared open at two the miscellaneous business was taken up and disposed of as follows

Motion That we raise Two Hundred Dollars (200.00) to defray the incidental expenses of the town Carried
