At the annual town meeting held at Casler’s Hall in the town of South Grove county of DeKalb and State of Illinois on the third day of April A. D. 1883.

J. S. Shaver after being duly sworn entered upon the duties as Moderator the polls were then opened proclamation thereof being made. At 2:30 O’clock the miscellaneous businness [sic] was taken up.

Motion to raise One hundred dollars to defray the incidental expenses for the ensuing year Carried

Motion to pay bills against town for Road & Bridge material contracted by W. Bradley Carried

Motion to Work roads by Pathmasters Carried

Motion toto [sic] distribute all moneys in hands of commissioners of highways except $400 to the severall Road districts in the town Carried

The following named persons were then appointed overseers of the several road districts
