By Laws

Motioned and voted that all by laws heretofore mad [made] and recorded on the town book be repealed.

Motioned and voted that all horses and colts be prohibited from running at large under a penalty of five dollars for each offense.

Motioned and voted that all mules cattle hogs and sheep be prohibited from running at large under a penalty of not to exceed five dollars for each offense.

Motioned and voted that all road fences be four feet high and constructed of four wires with posts not over eight feet apart also that all line fences be four feet high and constructed of five wires and posted as above be considered a lawful fence in said town of South Grove.

Also

Motioned and voted that a fence four feet high and constructed of three boards or three rails with posts not over eight feet apart be considered a lawful fence.

Motioned and voted that all money and fines arising from the penalties imposed by the above by laws by appropriated to the repairing and building bridges in said town.

Motioned and voted that a tax of seventy five dollars be levied upon the taxable property of the town for the purpose of purchasing plank to repair bridges

Motioned and voted that a tax of one hundred dollars be levied upon the taxable property of the town for the defraying the expenses of the town.
