Annual Town Meeting
At the annual town meeting held in the town of South Grove County of DeKalb and State of Illinois at the school house in Dis. No 2 on the fifth day of April A D 1864 On motion Wm T. Adee was duly chosen Moderator being sworn according to law & began his duties by the polls open to receive votes At twelve o clock at noon the polls were closed for one hour by a vote of the voters present At one o clock P M the polls were opened according to adjournment [.]
At two o clock the meeting of the legal voters present took up the Miscellaneous business of the day and the following named persons were Elected Overseers of Highways to wit
