Petition to alter road on Henry Mace’s land
To the Commissioners of Highways of the town of South Grove, County of DeKalb, and State of Illinois:
By order of the Commissioners of the said town on the 25th day of July A. D. 1866 the public Highway commencing at the South half Sec. corner of Sec. 33 after running North 19 chains & 17 links was widened to 5 ½ rods for 9 chains & 75 links on Henry Mace’s land.
The undersigned Freeholders residing in said town within two miles of the above described higway [highways] petition you to alter or narrow the above described highway so that it will correspond with the remainder of the Highway running north.
