At an annual Town Meeting held in the Town Hall on the 4th day of April A. D. 1898. [It appears that he meant 1899, since the 1898 minutes have already been recorded on an earlier page and the date of the signature at the bottom of the page is 1899.] M. McMurchy was chosen Moderator.

Motion made to raise $150.00 for Town Tax. Motion carried

Supervisors report read and accepted

Commissioners report read.

The following is a statement of the result of a canvass of the ballots cast:

For Town Clerk

W. G. McKenzie received Fifty three Votes

For Assessor

J. T Byers received Fifty three Votes

For Collector

Geo. E. Adee received Fifty three Votes

For Commissioner of Highways

Charles Benson received Fifty two Votes

For Justice of the Peace

Milton Adee received Fifty one Votes

For Constable

Ed Eychaner received Fifty one Votes

For Trustee of Schools

Robt. Renwick received Fifty two Votes
