Motion by Jas. Gibson} That the Town appropriate Two Hundred dollars for roads and bridges. Carried

Motion by James Gibson. That the Collector pay over the Amount of his percentage to the Road Commissioners to be applied by them to purchase 20 scrapers, one scaper [scraper] for each district, the Collector retaining Seventy five dollars (75) this being the Amount for which he agrees to collect the whole tax for the Current Year. Carried

Motion That each district should have the choice of having the scraper made, what they consider the most suitable size, from 3 to 4 feet wide. Carried

Motion That the Town Appropriate Sixty dollars ($60) to assist in the payment of the above scrapers. Carried

Motion By William M. Byers, that the Town Appropriate One Hundred dollars ($100)to pay town expenses for the Current year. Carried

Motion by James Gibson that the Commissioners of Highways be empowered to issue Bonds to raise Money to pay [for] the scrapers so as to have them ready this season. Carried

The following is a Statement of the result of the Canvass by ballot for election of Officers at the Annual Town Meeting held in the town of South Grove, County of DeKalb and State of Illinois, 7th day of April A D 1868 as publicly Canvassed by the presiding officer of said meeting.
