Annual Town Meeting and Election Held in the Town Hall in the town of South Grove April 3rd, 1917.

 

Town meeting called to order at 2 PM by Orton L. Bell moderator

 

the [sic] reports of the financial condition of the Township funds and the Road and Bridge funds were read and approved.  It was voted to raise $500.00 township expense The following is the result of a canvass of the votes cast at the election

R. H. McKenzie received twenty three votes for Commissioner of Highways

W. H. Mason received twenty three votes for Justice of the Peace

James Byers received twenty two votes for Justice of the Peace

George Barnes received twenty two votes for Constable

Morris Casey received twenty three votesfor Constable

J. A. Dooley received twenty two votes for Trustee of Schools

W. G. McKenzie
