Annual Town Meeting. Held at the Town Hall.
Reports of Commissioner of Highway and Supervisor read and accepted.
Motion made and seconded that a tax of Seven Hundred and Fifty dollars be levied for defraying Township expenses. Motion Carried.
The following is the result of a canvas of the ballots.
For School Trustee
R. H. McKenzie received ten votes. (men) [This word is used after each candidate. Not sure what it means. May be interpreting it wrong.]
For Justice of the Peace
Wm. Mason received Eight votes (men)
Jas. Byers received Four votes (men)
For Constable
Geo. Barnes received Nine votes (men)
Maurice Casey received Five Votes (men)

Auditors meeting was held in the Esmond State Bank.
Bills were presented, audited and ordered paid, for which orders were issued as per record on file.
“I hereby certify that I have determined that the rate of tax necessary to be raised upon all the taxable property of said town shall be Sixty-six cents on each One Hundred dollars valuation as assessed for the year A. D. 1919, and that the amount of money to be raised by taxation for the year A. D. 1919 for the construction, maintenance and repair of road and bridges in the town of South Grove aforesaid, will amount to the sum of Eight Thousand One Hundred Dollars to be levied against all the taxable property of said Town as assessed for the year A. As there was no further business the motion was made and 2nd that we adjourn.
