The wages of the assessor were discussed and it was moved and seconded that he receive $450.00 annually.
Walter Beydler was chosen as Moderator and at 1:00 P. M. said Moderator called a meeting for a hearing on the proposed budget.
At 2:00 P. M the Town Meeting was called to order. Motion was made and seconded that the proposed budget be accepted. The reports of the Supervisor and Highway Commissioner were read and approved.
Motion was made and seconded that the Town Tax levy be accepted, the necessary amount of the tax being $3450.00.
There being no further business, meeting adjourned.

Fall Auditing Meeting Sept. 1, 1953
The meeting was called to order at 7:30 P. M. at the home of the Town Clerk. Those present were Hugh McQueen, George Jorgensen, and F. H. McQueen. All bills presented were ordered paid.
Highway Commissioner Jorgensen approved before the Board of Auditors and requested the consent in writing of said auditors to levy a greater rate of taxation for road and bridge purposes for the year 1954 than 12½% on the full fair cash value of the taxable property of said Town as equalized or assessed by the Department of Revenue for this year and for the determination of the amount of such greater rate of taxation.
After considering said request, it was moved and seconded that said Board of Auditors consent to said Commissioner levying an additional rate of 4% on the full fair cash value of the taxable property of said Town, making a total rate of 16½% for Road and Bridge purposes for the year 1954 and that the amount of such additional tax be $1000.
