Highway Commissioner Jorgensen requested the consent in writing of the auditors to levy a greater rate of taxation for road and bridge purposes for the year of 1956 than the 12½% on the full fair cash value of the taxable property of South Grove Township as equalized or assessed by the Department of Revenue for this year and for the determination of the amount of such greater rate of taxation.
After considering the request, it was moved and seconded that the Board of Auditors consent to said commissioner levying an additional rate of 4% on the full fair cash value of the taxable property of said Town, making a total rate of 16½% for road and bridge purposes for the year 1956 and that the amount of such additional tax be $1500.00. Meeting adjourned.
