I hereby certify that I have surveyed the road prayed for in the petition signed by Abial Richardson and others to the commissioners of highway of the town of DeKalb County of DeKalb State of Illinois dated March 26th 1856 and laid out on appeal by the supervisor of the town of Shabona Leroy and Afton on the 10th day of July A.D. 1856 as follows to wit.
Beginning at a stake in the center of the road leading from Brush Point to DeKalb Centre when the road turns easterly near Abial Richardson’s (now Aldens) barn and on a continuous straight line with said road that is to say running 12 east through land now owned by Jesse Alden, H. H. More and Calvin S. Colton 155 rods to the stake in the center of Sycamore and Grandetour [Grand Detour] road thence south 25d east through Wm. Hubbards land 36 rods to a stake in the centre of the road leading to DeKalb Centre near William Hubbards house making a continuous straight line to near the house of Arena Clarks and the annexed plot is a true representation of said road.
