Town Records of DeKalb Ill
Terminating on the south line of the town of DeKalb 96 rods west of the south west corner of school section in township 39 range 4 and the undersigned being of opinion that it is necessary and proper that so much of the old road running from F. Loves via DeKalb Centre to Shabons Grove as lies between the commencement of the above survey and the termination of the same should be altered it is therefore ordered that a road four rods wide be located and laid out and the same is located and laid our according to said survey and the same is hereby declared to be a publick highway and so much of the old road as lies between the commencement and termination of said survey by virtue of the above alteration is hereby declared to be vacated.

The undersigned commissioners of highways for the town of DeKalb in the County of DeKalb on the application of John H Burghardt a person liable to be assessed for highway labor in said town did on the twenty first day of March inst; cause a survey to be made of the following route to wit; commencing at the centre of the first slough bridge south of where the road running on the west side of Union Grove crosses the creek, thence southerly to the N.W. corner of Lewis Huntleys field being the same route mentioned in the application of the said John H. Burghardt which survey is as follows to wit; commencing at the slough bridge 13° W 62 rods and intersecting the road at the corner of Lewis Huntleys field which crosses on the east side of the timber which leads to the south line of the town of DeKalb and the undersigned being of opinion that it is necessary and proper that such alteration be made it is therefore ordered that a road four rods wide be located and laid out and the same is located and laid out according to said survey
