Petition of W. D. Earl and others

To the Commissioners of Highways of the town of DeKalb in the county of DeKalb and State of Illinois.  We the undersigned legal voters residing within three miles of the route hereinafter mentioned and described for a road so hereby made application to you to pay our a new road the width of four rods as follows commencing at the south west corner of section twenty six (26) and the south east corner of section (27) twenty seven and thence running north of the section or as near there to as the said commissioners in there (their) judgement my deem and on the most direct and eligible route to at or near the limits of the Village corporation of said DeKalb intersecting the fourth on road leading past the Methodist Church.  The concerns of the owners of the land over which the road is trespasses as your petitioners
