Official erection of highway | Oath of Office

Town Records of DeKalb Ill

We the commissioners of highway of the town of DeKalb by and with the consent of the commissioners of highways of the town of Pampas do hereby erect into a highway district so much of a certain road as is herein described to belong to the town of DeKalb commencing at the south east corner of section twenty five running north on town line two hundred and sixth rods to the centre of the Phelps road.

Poll Book of a town meeting held at the house of Russel Huntley on the fifth day of April 1853 for the purpose of electing town officers.

Meeting called to order

Arunah Clark elected Moderator, Timothy Richardson, Clerk

I Arunah Clark do solemnly swear that I will perform the duties of Moderator according to law and the best of my ability I will studiously endeavor to prevent fraud deceit and abuse in conducting the same.
