Within is a true copy upon Lucian Burr, E. b. Hulet and Jesse Alden commissioners of highways of the town of DeKalb in said county by delivering one to each of said commissioners.

To A. Schryver, J. H Almey and John F. Walker, three of the petitioners who petitioned for the altering or relocating of the road herein after descried. Sirs, please take notice that I have appealed from the decision of the commissioners of highways of the town of DeKalb made on the 7th day of December A.D. 1867 a highway as follows to wit:

In altering or relocating said road or such portions thereof as may be necessary to make the Brush Point Road between Wm. Hubbard’s and Jesse Alden’s straight from Alden’s to Hubbard’s and in layout out or relocating the same so as to be straight as follows commencing at a point in the angle of the said Brush Point Road at or near Jesse Alden’s in the town of DeKalb and running in a straight line from said angle in a southerly direction unti9l said line intersects the Brush Point Road at or near Wm. Hubbard’s and near the school house in District No. one in the town of DeKalb .

And that Lewis McEwin, supervisor of the town of Milan

John Wright, supervisor of the town of Pampas

Henry A. Perkins, supervisor of the town of Genoa

In the county aforesaid to whom said appeal is made, will meet at the house of C. S. Colton in the town of DeKalb aforesaid on the 20th day of January A.D. 1868, at 10 O’clock A.M. for the purpose of hearing and determining said appeal; which appeal is taken for the purpose of changing the decision of said commissioners in altering or relocating the said road at which time and place you may appeal and show cause if any you have why said decision should not be wholly reversed.

Dated at DeKalb the 31st day of December A.D. 1867
