Road District No. 12 bounded as follows commencing at the Phelps road on town lien running south as far as the north east corner of section thirty six thence west on section line one mile thence north to the Phelps road.

The undersigned commissioners of highways for the town of DeKalb in the county of DeKalb on the petition of Walden Jones, Hugh Holister, Timothy Richardson, John M. Goodell, Lewis Huntley, Joel H. Simonds, Wm. C. Wilcox, Wm. B. Wilson, L. B. King, A. H. Cartwright, R. C. Peters, Richard Bovee, Wm. C Rosbrook, E. Rosbrook, James Rosbrook, Albert Hatfield, George Flinn, Jordan R. Wettum, W. Vaughan, W. D. Earl, S. D. Collier, Henry Hopkins, George Lyon, Jas. Rae, Wm. Campbell by and with the consent of the commissioners of the town of Pampas did on the 28th day of March 1853 cause a survey to be made of the following route to wit; being the same route mentioned in said petition beginning at the south west corner of sec thirty one (31) in the town of Pampas and the south east corner of section thirty six (36) in the town of DeKalb thence running north on the town line between section thirty (30) in the town of Pampas and twenty five (25) in the town of DeKalb to the centre of the Phelps Road and running between lands of Isaac Johnson and O. F. Page on section thirty one (31) and lands of Wm. Rosbrook and nonresidents on sec 36 and between lands of James Benedick, Joshua Ellison and Luther Ormsby on section thirty (30) and lands of Richard Bovee and Albert Hatfield on section twenty five (25) a distance of five hundred and eighty rods (580) and the undersigned being of opinion that it is necessary and proper that a road be made it is therefore ordered that a road four rods wide be located and laid out and the same located and laid out according to said survey and the same is hereby declared to be a publick [public] highway.
Given under our hand and deals at DeKalb the 2nd day of April 1853.
