Road proposal
Town Records of DeKalb Ill
To Benjamin C. Needham, John D. Harrison, Johnathon Stone, commissioners of highways within and for the town of DeKalb in DeKalb County and State of Illinois
The undersigned your petitions being legal voters and residing within three miles of the road hereinafore proposed to be discontinued would respectfully ask you to discontinue so much of the road running north from a point 92 rods and nine links south from the section stake on line between section 33 and 34 in T. 40 N, R4, E on the Shabona [Shabbona] Grove and Sycamore Road and running thence north on said section line through and between sec 33 and 34, 21 and 22, 16 and 15 thence a northeasterly course to Love & Bucks Road as lies between the starting point of the above described road to wit at a point in the Shabona [Shabbona] Grove and Sycamore Road 92 rods and nine links south from the ½ section stake on line between said sections 33 and 34, T40, R4 and the point when said above mentioned and described road crosses the St Charles and Oregon State Road on section 21 and 22 in T40N, R4E of the 3rd M.
And the undersigned your petition being legal voters and residing within three miles of the line of a new road hereinafterwards proposed to be laid out and located would also respectfully ask you to cause a survey to be made and to lay out and locate a new road in or near the following route to wit commencing at a point on the section line between section 20 and 21, T40N, R4E and the 3rd M. where the St. Charles and Oregon state road crosses said section line between 20 and 21 thence south on said sec line to the south line of said sec 20 and 21 thence west on sect line between 28 & 29 to the center of said
