We do hererby certify that the above is a true copy of the proceedings of a town meeting held at the town Clerks office in the town of DeKalb on the 24 day of Feb 1855.

To the commissioners of highways for the town of DeKalb in the county of DeKalb.
The undersigned legal voters in said county and residing within three miles of the following described route respectfully represent your honorable body that it is necessary and proper that a road should be laid out upon the following described route to wit: beginning at the north corner of section six and the north west corner of section five of township 40 range 4 east of the third principal meridian thence running south between So section 5 & 6 and between section 7 & 8 and between section 17 & 18 till it intersects the road leading from DeKalb Centre to Broadie’s Grove and running through lands of James Adsit, Charles E. Needham, Wm. Hoyt, the heirs of Noah Taylor, John Stevenson and other names of owners not known: The undersigned therefore respectfully request that you will cause said road to be surveyed and such proceedings be had as is by law in such case provided.
