Minutes of Town Meeting continued from opposite page

Motion – Whereas we should have levied the Thirty cents on one hundred dollers [sic] as recommended by the Road Commissioners for road & bridge purposes ----------(Lost)

Motion – That we except [sic] of Mr. Moses Castler’s [Casler’s] offer i. e. that we have the use of his hall for all purposes for that is for the political interests of the town, for one year from date including next town meeting, and that he receive from the town Thirty dollars $30.00 as pay (Carried)

Motion was made at 20 minutes past four that we adjourn at in nine thirty (Carried)

The following is a statement of the results of the canvass of votes by ballot for the ellection [sic] of officers at the annual Town Meeting in the Town of South Grove County of De Kalb & State of Illinois A D 1873 as publicly canvassed by the presiding officers of said Meeting
