Whereas a road was laid out on the 8th day of June A. D. 1880 by John Lloyd, Aaron Mowers, and Thomas Renwick commissioners of highways of the town of South Grove in the county of DeKalb on the application of the requisite number of legal voters residing within three miles of said road as follows commencing at ¼ corner Section corner on west Line of Sec 30 Town 41 R 4 East of 3rd P. M. and running North on Town line between Mayfield and South Grove two miles and about 25 chains to the point where the road from James Byers to Sycamore crosses the said Town Line. Which road passes throug [sic] the land of Jas. Byers Being known and described as follows:

N. E. ¼ Sec 13. T 41 R 3 East S. E. ¼ Sec 13 T 41 R3. Also through lands owned by Bridget Casey describes as follows: S. E. ¼ S. E. ¼ Sec 13 T 41 R 3. Now therefore it is hereby agreed between the said commissioners and the said James Byers that the damages sustained by the said Jas. Byers by reason of the laying out and opening said road upon his lands herein before described be liquidated and agreed upon at One hundred sixty six and Sixteen 66/100 dollars ($116.66) and Bridget Casey at Fifty Dollars ($50.00)
