Commissioners of Highways of the Town of South Grove in the County of DeKalb and State Illinois met at the place of holding the last Town meeting and adjourned to meet on Saturday May 4th 1850 at the house of James Byers.

Commissioners of highways met pursuant to adjournment, and proceeded to ascertain estimate and assess the highways labor to be performed in their Town for the ensuing year. They have made out the estimate and assessment for the road district No 1 in said term as follows.
