Special Road Meeting

South Grove, Ill. July 31, 1911

Special meeting of Commissioners Highways held at time and place as per Notice ordered posted at meeting July 18th

Meeting called to order Wm. Quinn chairman, W. G. McKenzie Clerk.

The following land owners were represented and offered right of way for road at the following prices.

Harriett M. Doan & Corrie Willrett at Two Hundred Dollars per acre.

George Ashelford, offer at One Hundred fifty Dollars per acre and Philip Ryan at land to equal benefits.

Motion made by Reimsnider and seconed [sic] by Decker that the prayers of the Petitioners be denied.

Auditors Meeting held at the office the Town Clerk bills were audited and ordered paid as per bills and record on file in office of Town Clerk.

As certified by Highway Commissioners the following Tax was levied for road and bridge purposes. Thirty six cents on each one Hundred dollars evaluation and an additional levy of twenty five cents on each one hundred dollars assessed valuation on account new bridge to replace brid condemned bridge on Purcell pike, above levy consented to by board of auditors and assessor
