At a meeting of the commissioners of Highways in the town of South Grove March the twenty fourth A.D. 1865 making a division in road district No. 9 making a new district commencing as follows to wit commencing at the town line running thence North to Thomas Adee North line and John Williams North line thence East one mile to intersect a road running North & South on William Orputs East line passing over lands of Daniel Corey A. W. Loyd E. Chapel Wm. H. Corey John Williams Thomas Adee James Banks Wm. M Byers said district to be known as District No. Sixteen (16)

District No. 17

At a meeting of the Commissioners of Highways in the town of South Grove March the 24 A.D. 1865 making a division in District No. 6 making a new District commencing as follows to wit commencing on the town line running thence South and intersect the State road near the school house in Dist. No. 2. Said road passing over lands of Wm. Mack Doctor Page E. L Becker James W. Mason.

Said district to be known as Dis. No. 17
