Town of South Grove

County of DeKalb

Be it remembered that on the 25th day of July A.D. 1866 we the Commissioners of Highways of said town conformable with a petition handed to us by certain legal voters and subscribed by the same to widen a part of a public highway, running through the lands of Henry Mace on the East and George Waterman on the West in Section 33, and to divert the same through the land of Henry Mace. We therefore hereby viewed the same and obtained the survey of a competent surveyor as below delineated, commencing at the half section corner on the South line of section 33 thence north 19 chains and 17 links to a slough in the road, then divert at an angle of 45° for 3 ½ rods so as to make the road 5 ½ rods and run thence north for 9 chains and 75 links to place of termination of said slough. The road is widened after running 19 chains and seventeen links from the north half section corner of 33 to 5 ½ rods for 9 chains and 75 links on H. Maces land.
