Whereas upon an application in writing of Wm. Bradley M. D. Patton E. D. Bacon Lewis Poole Chas. Shawl Nicholas FetterlyE. L. Becker P. FetterlyThomas Lasky Joseph Watts James W. Morrison B. B. Page R. W. Fox Clinton D Fox NelsonDelavergne John McDowell Eugene Flowers twelve legal voters residing within three miles of the route hereinafter described for the vacation of a public road a copy of said petition having been first posted up as required by law
We the commissioners of highways of said town did on the 20th day of May A. D. 1861, personally examined the route proposed in said for the vacation of a Road to wit that portion of the Sycamore & Oregon State Road lying on the West half of Sec. 7, T41, R3. E. of the 3rd P. M. commencing in the centre [center] of the north and south Road north 73 ¼ W 20 45 chs to the West town line and having before Determined to lay out said road fixed upon a time and place When and Where we would meet to hear any reasons for or against laying out the same and having caused written notices thereof to be posted up in (3) three of the most conspicuous public places in the town eight days previous to the time of such meeting and having met at the time and place appointed for hearing such reasons and having heard such reasons as were offered and being of the opinion that such vacation was necessary and proper and that the Public interest would be forwarded thereby and having granted the prayers of said Petitioners and determined to to[sic] vacate said Road we did on the 26th day of June A. D. 1868 cause a survey thereof to be made by a competent Surveyor as follows
