On Motion Voted that the By laws of the Town of South Grove remain as they were Carried

To the commissioners of Hiways [Highways] for the Township of South Grove} Gent [Gentlemen]

South Grove DeKalb County Illinois

March 7th 1855

Below I hand you a plat of a road which I surveyed conformable with your instructions of the same are as follows

(To wit) Commencing at the Quarter stake on the line dividing Section 7 and 18 in the Township of South Grove in the County of DeKalb and running thence West 18 chains 71 links terminating at County line

Town of South Grove in the County of DeKalb}

We the Commissioners of Hiways [Highways] for the Town aforesaid in the said County having convened this 7th day of March 1855 for the purpose of taking into consideration a certain Memorial made to us for to open a public Highway in the said Town and that the same should commence at the Quarter section stake on the line dividing Sections 7 and 18 in said Town and run thence West to the County line. We therefore having duly examined the premises and obtained a survey plat of the line over which the said public Highway is to be laid out form a competent Surveyor and that the admeasurement from the said Quarter section take on the said line dividing the said section 7 and 18 running West and terminating at the County Line is 18 chains and 71 links and being mutually of opinion that the same is essential to public convenience do hereby establish confirm and ratify it as a public Highway comformable [in conformance] with the statute in that case made and provided given under our hands The day and Year first above written
