Annual Town Meeting
Annual Town Meeting held at the Town Hall in the town of South Grove April 7, 1914.
Orton L. Bell chosen Moderator.
Motion made and seconed [sic] that a tax of Five Hundred be levied for Town Tax. Motion carried.
Motion made and seconed [sic] that Maurice Casseybe appointed Thistle Commissioner. Motion Carried
The following is a result of a canvass of the vote cast. (bymen)
Orton L. Bell Received Forty nine votes for Supervisor
W. G. McKenzie Received Forty nine votes for Town Clerk
W. R. Adee Received Forty eight votes for Assessor
Walter Bright Received Forty nine votes for Collector
Robt. H. McKenzie Received Forty nine votes for Commissioner of Highways
Geo. Coffey Received Forty eight votes for Commissioner of Highways to fill vacancy
W. K. Mason Received Forty seven votes for Justice of the Peace} To
James D. Byers Received Forty seven votes for Justice of the Peace} fill
M. Cassey Received Forty seven votes for Constable} vacancy
Geo. Barnes Received Forty six votes for Constable}
James A. received Forty five votes for Trustee of Schools
For the proposition to abolish Poll Tax received twenty two votes
