Joint Meeting of Commissoners [sic] of Highways of the Towns of South Grove, Malta, DeKalb, and Mayfield

Held at the residence M R. Zeller June 24.  There was present Thomas Rich, Geo Coffey and R H McKenzie of South Grove:  Peterson of Malta; F. Fuller of DeKalb, and S Bickford, D. Towers and E Clark of Mayfield.

R H McKenzie appointed chairman

There was present land owners interested in laying out new road.  Frank Schwitzer M. Zeller, G. Neibergall and M. Quinn  They agreed to accept as damages One Hundred sixty ($160.00) each as damages

After hearing reasons for and against laying out a new road according to the petition

The result of a vote taken was as follows

DeKalb Twp    Fuller     3 votes for

Malta Twp      Peterson     1 vote against

South Grove. Geo Coffey T. Rich & R H McKenzie      3 votes for

Mayfield.  S Bickford, D. Tower, & E Clark     3 votes against

Six in favor and 4 against laying out road according to petition
