Highway Notice

At a meeting of the Highway Commissioners held Sept 16, 1916 the following Notices were ordered posted.

A petition having been presented to the Commissioners of Highways of the Town of South Grove in the County of DeKalb, and State of Illinois to vacate a certain road described as follows:  Commencing at the east line of Section Thirty six (36) in said Township at a point one hundred sixty (160) rods North from Southeast corner of said Section Thirty-six (36) and runs thence West through the center of Section 36 and through the center of the East Half (1/2) of Section Thirty five (35) to the middle of said Section 35 all in Township Forty-one (41) North Range Three (3) East of the 3rd P. M. DeKalb County Illinois, the center line of said road to be a distance of one hundred sixty (160) north from the south line of said Sections Thirty-five (35) and Thirty-six 36 in said Township as per plat and survey of said road made by Walter M Hay, surveyor, on file in the town Clerk’s office of said Township of South Gove, that said Commissioners do here by give notice that they have fixed upon Saturday the 30th day of September, A. D. 1916 at the hour of on o’clock P. M. of said day at the West end of said road in the said township, as the time and place they will meet to hear reasons for and against the vacating of said road and to examine the route of such road as proposed in said petition when and where all persons interested can be heard.
