Petition to vacate road and lay out New Road.

To the Commissioners of Highways of the Town of South Grove in the County of DeKalb and State of Illinois:- [sic]

The undersigned, being two thirds of the land owners residing in said town within two miles of the road running northeasterly from the South line of the South West quarter of Section 14 in said town to the intersection of said with the the [sic]east-and-west road running through the North half of said section 14, do hereby respectfully petition you to vacate the following described portion of road Northeasterly road [sic], to wit: -  Commencing at or near the bridge which is in said Northeasterly road and about 50 rods South of the North east corner of the West half of the South east quarter of said section 14 and running thence north easterly to the intersecton [sic] of said Northeasterly road with the said East and West road, and your petitioners pray that you will proceed to vacate said portion of said road accordingly.  And the undersigned, being two-thirds of the land owners residing in such town and within two miles of the route hereinafter mentioned and described for a road, do hereby petition you to lay out a new road of the width of forty feet as follows:  Commencing at or near the bridge aforesaid and running thence in a northwesterly direction on the most elegible [sic] route to intersect said East-and-West road at or near the North West corner of lands owned by T. D. Driscoll on the North West quarter of said section 14.
