Annual Spring Auditing Meeting              March 29, 1927

 

The meeting was called to order by the Supervisor at the Town Clerk’s office.

Those present were W. G. McKenzie Supervisor:  Frank Barnes Town Clerk.  George Barnes, Highway Comm.  Geo. Quinn, Assessor.  Maurice Casey Thistle Comm.

All bills presented were ordered paid.

No further business the meeting adjourned.

Annual Township Meeting and Election, April 5, 1927

 

The Township Meeting was called to order by the Supervisor, W. G. McKenzie.

The Supervisors (sic) report was read and accepted.

A motion was made by George Barnes and seconded by Leon Rand that a township tax for $ 1000.00 (One Thousand Dollars) be levied.  Motion carried.

Motion made and seconded to adjourn.

A canvass of the ballots voted showed as follows:

for School Trustee, T. T. Vanartsdale

Annual Fall Auditing Meeting, Sept 6, 1927

 

The Meeting was called to order by the Supervisor W. McKenzie at the Town Clerk’s office.  Those present were W. G. McKenzie, Supervisor.  Frank Barnes, Town Clerk.  Geo. Barnes, Highway Comm.  Maurice Casey, Thistle Comm.  Geo. Quinn, Assessor.

All bills presented were ordered paid.

“The said Comm. of Highways, after due consideration, having met for the purpose of determining the tax rate for road and bridge purposes to be certified by him to the County Board as provided by law, did determine that the rate of tax necessary to be levied upon all the taxable property of said Town of South Grove for said purposes, for the year A. D. 1927, shall be Twenty five cents on each One Hundred Dollars valuation as assessed + equalized for the year A. D. 1927.  The said Comm. of Highways, after due consideration, also determined that the amt [amount] of money necessary to be raised by taxation for the purpose of construction, maintenance and repair of roads + bridges in said [Township] of South Grove for the year A. D. 1927, to be Five Thousand dollars for the various
