Annual Township Meeting and Election, April 2, 1929

 

The Township Meeting was called to order by Supervisor W. G. McKenzie.  The Highway Commissioners (sic) Report was read and approved.

A motion was made by L. W. Rand and seconded by L. A. Totman to levy a Township Tax of $1000.00 for township expenses.  Motion carried.

A canvass of the ballots were (sic) as follows, School Trustee Floyd Welty.  Justice’s (sic) of Peace Wm. Mason and Clifford Coffey.  Constables George Barnes and L. A. Totman.

No further business the meeting adjourned by motion.

Annual Fall Auditing Meeting, Sept. 3, 1929

 

The meeting was called to order by Supervisor McKenzie at the Esmond State Bank.

Those present were W. G. McKenzie, Supervisor.  Frank Barnes, Town Clerk.  Fred Goelitz, Highway Comm.  Delos Welty, Assessor.  Maurice Casey, Thistle Comm.

All bills presented were ordered paid.

The Highway Comm. Fred Goelitz certified that the Tax rate for road + bridge purposes shall be Twenty-five cents upon each One hundred Dollars valuation as assessed + equalized for the year A. D. 1929.  He further certified that the amt (sic) of money necessary to be raised by taxation for the purpose of construction, maintenance and repair of roads + bridges for the year A. D. 1929 is Five thousand Dollars for the following purposes.

For Construction of Roads $2300.00

“ Maintenance “       “ $600.00

“ Construction of Bridges $1000.00

“ Maintenance “        “ $600.00

“ Repair of Machinery $250.00

“ Prevention and extirpation of Weeds $250.00

 Total $5000.00

Motion made + seconded to adjourn.
