making a total rate of twenty-eight cents on each $100.00 valuation of the taxable property of the said Town, for Road and Bridge purposes, for the year A. D. 1939. There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.

Spring Auditing Meeting March 28, 1939

The semi-annual auditing meeting was called to order by the Supervisor, C. G. McKenzie, at the Town Hall at 2:00 P. M. All bills presented were ordered paid. The Supervisor’s report was read and approved. The statement showed annual receipts of $2745.69, total expenses of $1856.63, balance on hand $889.06. The Highway Commissioner’s report was read and approved. It showed total receipts of $4,999.00, total expenses of $4,838.25, balance on hand $160.75. Motion made and carried to adjourn.

Annual Town Meeting April 4, 1939

The Town Meeting was called to order at the Town Hall at 2:00 P. M. by C. G. McKenzie. Walter Beydler was chosen Moderator. The Supervisor’s report ant the Highway Commissioner’s report were each read and approved.

At 8:40 A. M. a meeting was called by the Town Clerk, F. H. McQueen, for the purpose of selecting a Moderator for the Annual Town Meeting to be held at 2:00 P. M. Walter Beydler was chosen to act as Moderator at said meeting. At 1:00 P. M. a hearing was held on the proposed budget and annual appropriation ordinance. At 2:00 P. M. the Town Meeting was called to order by Walter Beydler, Moderator. The Supervisor’s report and the Highway Commissioner’s report were each read and approved. A motion was made by Delos Welty and seconded by L. A. Totman that the proposed budget be accepted as read by the Town Clerk. F. N.
