Fall Auditing Meeting Sept. 7, 1943
The meeting was called to order at 8:00 P. M. at the Town Hall by C. G. McKenzie, Supervisor. Others present were F. H. McQueen, L. W. Holmes, Geo. Jorgenson and Jos. Quinn. All bills presented were ordered paid.
The Commissioner of Highways of South Grove Township requested the consent in writing of Auditors to levy a greater rate than 25¢ on each $100.00 valuation of the property of said Town for road and bridge purposes for the year 1944. After considering said request it was moved and seconded that said Board of Auditors consent to said Commissioner levying an additional rate of 8¢ on each $100.00 valuation in addition to 25¢ making a total rate of 33¢ on each $100.00 valuation of the taxable property of the said Town, for road and bridge purposes for the year 1944.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.

Spring Auditing Meeting March 28, 1944
The meeting was called to order at the Town Hall at 10:00A. M. by Supervisor McKenzie. Others present were F. H. McQueen and George Jorgenson. All bills presented were ordered paid. The proposed budget for the coming year was discussed and approved. There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.

Annual Town Meeting April 4, 1944
At 1:00 P. M. a meeting was called by the Supervisor at the Town Hall for the hearing on the proposed budget.
At 2:00 P. M. the Town Meeting was called to order by F. H. McQueen, Town Clerk. F. N. Goelitz, having been chosen Moderator, then took charge. Motion made and seconded that the proposed budget be accepted. The Supervisor’s report was read and approved showing receipts of $5319.81, expenditures of $1322.60 and a balance on hand of $3997.21. A report was then given on road and bridge funds. Motion made and seconded to omit the Town tax
