Spring Auditing Meeting March 30, 1943

The meeting was called to order at the Town Hall at 2:00 P. M. by Supervisor McKenzie. Others present were F. H. McQueen and George Jorgenson. All bills presented were ordered paid. The proposed budget for the coming year was discussed and approved. There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.

Annual Town Meeting April 6, 1943

At 1:00 P. M. a meeting was called by the Supervisor, C. G. McKenzie, for the purpose of selecting a Moderator for the Annual Town Meeting to be held at 2:00 P. M. George Tindall was chosen to act at said meeting.

At 2:00 P. M. the Town Meeting was called to order by George Tindall, Moderator. The Supervisor’s report and the Highway Commissioner’s report were each read and approved. The Supervisor’s report showed receipts of $4321.37, expenditures of $1358.47; balance on hand $2962.90. Highway Commissioners report showed receipts of $4752.21; expenditures of $3563.80; balance on hand $1188.41. Motion made and seconded that the proposed budget be accepted. Motion made and seconded that the Town Board receive $3.00 per meeting instead of $1.50 as in the past. Motion made and seconded that the Township tax be accepted. The necessary amount of tax was $1500.00. There being no further business, the meeting of (sic) adjourned.

Township election results for April 6, 1943 as follows: Commissioner of Highways 23 votes. Elected Geo. Jorgenson. School Trustee, Floyd Welty.
