Fall Auditing Meeting

The meeting was called to order at 2:00 P. M. at the Town Hall by C. G. McKenzie, Supervisor, others present being L. W. Holmes, F. H. McQueen, Jos. Quinn and Geo. Jorgenson. All bills presented were ordered paid.

The Commissioner of Highways of South Grove Township appeared before the Board of Auditors to levy a greater rate of taxation for Road and Bridge purposes for the year 1947 than .125 percent of the full fair cash value of the property of South Grove and for the determination of the amount of such greater rate of taxation. After considering said request, it was moved by Mr. McKenzie and seconded by Mr. Holmes, that said Board of Auditors consent to said Commissioner’s levying an additional rate of 4C in addition to .125 percent, making a total rate of .165 percent of the full fair cash value of the taxable property of South Grove for Road and Bridge purposes, for the year 1947, and that said Board execute proper consent in writing for such additional levy, as required by law. Motion carried.

There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.

Spring Auditing Meeting

Due to bad roads, the meeting was called to order at the home of the Town Clerk at 1:00 P. M. by C. G. McKenzie. All bills presented were ordered paid. The proposed budget for the coming year was discussed and approved. There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.

Annual Town Meeting April 1, 1947

A meeting was called at 9:00 A. M. by the Town Clerk for the purpose of selecting a Moderator. Walter Beydler was chosen as same.

At 1:00 P, M. a meeting was called by the Moderator
