Fall Auditing Meeting Sept. 1, 1959
The meeting was held at the home of the Town Clerk at 7:30 P.M. Those present were Hugh McQueen, Walter Beydler, Harry Gustafson, and F. H. McQueen. All bills presented were paid.
Highway Commissioner Beydler requested the written consent of the Board of Auditors to levey (sic) a greater rate of taxation for road and bridge purposes for the year 1959 than 12 ½% on the full fair value of the taxable property of South Grove Township as equalized or assessed for this year and for the determination of the amount of such greater rate of taxation.
After considering the request, it was moved and seconded that the Board of Auditors consent to said Commissioner’s levying an additional rate of 4% on the full fair cash value of the taxable property of said Town, making a total rate of 16½% for road and bridge purposes for the year 1959. The Commissioner was also granted permission to levy 3½ % of the full fair cash value of taxable property in South Grove for bridge construction for 1959, the amount necessary to be raised being $2500. Meeting adjourned.

Spring Auditing Meeting March 29, 1960
The meeting was held at 2:00 P.M. at the home of the Town Clerk with Hugh McQueen, F. H. McQueen and Harry Gustafson present. All bills presented were ordered paid. After auditing the books and discussing the proposed budget, the meeting adjourned.
