Spring Auditing Meeting March 28, 1961

The meeting was held at 1:30 P.M. at the home of the Town Clerk with Hugh McQueen, Walter Beydler, Harry Gustafson and F. H. McQueen present. All bills presented were ordered paid. After auditing the books and discussing the proposed budget, the meeting adjourned.

Annual Town Meeting April 4, 1961

Elmer Erickson was chosen Moderator and at 1:00 P.M. said Moderator called a meeting for a hearing on the proposed budget.

At 2:00 P. M. the Town Meeting was called to order. Motion was made and seconded that the proposed budget be accepted. The reports of the Supervisor and Highway Commissioner were read and approved. Motion by George Tindall and seconded by Floyd Welty that $1000 be transferred from the General Town fund to the General assistance (sic) Fund. Motion carried. Motion by Walter Beydler and seconded by George Tindall that the Town Tax be $3500 and General Assistance tax be $1500. Motion carried.

After discussion, motion made and seconded to place the salary of the Auditors at $7.50 per Meeting. Motion carried. Motion made and carried to raise the salary of the Town Clerk to $150.00 per year.

A resolution was adopted by the Town Board on minimum requirements for the design and construction of new subdivision streets, etc.

There being no further business, meeting adjourned.
